So, I've felt very cut off from the world lately since my internet access is down. Currently I'm using a friend's computer to "catch up" for a minute.

In the meantime, I've been enjoying watching my children play with the children I nanny for. Here's the game. Everybody gets to be a super hero, choosing 2 powers of their own. (One "minor" power, and one "major". The majors are things like bullet proof, flying, mind reading, etc. The minors are, as one would guess, minor abilities such as talking to dogs, cooking a meal instantly, etc. ) Then the superheros go to an academy (think X-men training school). After 1 year, they get an additional (major or minor) power. They use all 3 powers to fight off the bad guys together.

I've been wondering what you all would pick for your super powers. Here's my pick for my "minor" power: If I snap my fingers, I can clean up any mess or fix anything broken - instantly. My second ("major") would be the ability to fly (super fast!). That one's simply because it would be fun, and I would see my sisters more often. After the academy, I'd take on the ability to either to split myself into several people, or transform into any object I choose. It's a toss up.

So, pick your 3! Hopefully I'll be able to check back within a week!

For starters, tough to turn down the flying. For my minor power, I'd like to know whenever someone is lying. My academy-granted power would be invisibility, which I've always found to be unfairly ignored in the superpower discussion. If used properly, it can cover a lot of bases for you. Avoid getting shot at or beaten up, gain valuable information which bad guys don't want you to have, and just a good way to get people to leave you alone when you don't feel like talking to them.

Minor super power - being able to watch and completely absorb multiple movies at the same time. I would be . . . "The Multiplexer!"

If I could whip up meals in a flash, and have my house clean with a finger snap like you, I'd be set!

The Multiplexer--great name for Ed!

I feel like you're cut off from the world, too, with your internet down, BTW. :(
